Berean Christian quarterback Chris Mauck was named to the Sunshine State Athletic Conference’s First Team after a standout senior season.

Mauck, who has helped lead the Bulldogs to a 7-2 record and a spot in the conference’s third-place game Saturday, has thrown for 2,657 yards and 29 touchdowns this season.

He’s one of five Berean Christian players who earned first-team honors.

The others are wide receiver Keilon Stube, linebacker Luke Langsam, cornerback Kasey Montroise and safety Luke Jamison.

Two other Bulldogs players and one from Boca Raton Christian earned second-team honors. They are offensive lineman Malachi Kearney and cornerback Jared Hammond of Berean Christian, and offensive lineman Michael VanBavel of Boca Raton Christian.
